Are you passionate about student success and looking for an administrative role in higher education? Join Birkbeck, University of London, as a Student Success Assistant, where you will play a crucial role in supporting students as they transition into university life through various programmes and initiatives.

The role will focus on pre-entry communications, on-campus events, information, advice and guidance for students to enable them to feel confident and settled at Birkbeck, as well as mentoring, peer support and student belonging events delivered across the academic year.

As a Student Success Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative support to the Student Transition and Success team - supporting students to prepare for and transition to university study.
  • Supporting specific projects like Student Transition, University of Sanctuary, and APP work.
  • Scheduling meetings, sending agendas, and taking minutes.
  • Assisting with the creation and promotion of departmental resources and communications.
  • Managing office tasks, maintaining accurate records and supporting event planning.
  • Handling financial administration, including requisitions and transactions.

To be successful as a Student Success Assistant, you should have:

  • Good knowledge of administrative systems and office work.
  • Excellent IT skills, including MS 365, Excel, and CRM systems.
  • Strong organisational and data entry skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Remuneration

£14,696 rising to £16,481 per annum (actual) (pro-rated 0.5/50% of £29,392 - £32,962 FTE). Terms and Conditions
