Do you have experience of establishing quality assurance systems for collaborative provision? Would you like an opportunity to support the development of Birkbeck’s academic partnerships? Birkbeck, University of London, is seeking a Quality Manager to start with us this Autumn 2024. 

As our new Quality Manager (Collaborative Provision), you would have specific responsibility for ensuring that partnership arrangements are correctly established, effectively monitored and meet Birkbeck’s quality requirements.

You would play a key role in ensuring an excellent partnership experience for our students as well as supporting our plans to increase partnership provision as part of our international strategy.

This role is based within the Academic Standards and Quality Office (part of the new Education and Student Experience Directorate) and you would work closely with academic and professional service colleagues across Birkbeck, especially the International Partnerships Manager (based in the Marketing and External Relations Directorate) to lead this area of activity.

To be successful in this role, you will be culturally and internationally astute, with excellent negotiation and relationship building skills. You will be a good communicator comfortable with working with colleagues at all levels across the institution and externally.

As our Quality Manager, you will also be confident about advising senior staff members on how to set up partnerships successfully, as well as identifying any risks, explaining these clearly and ensuring these are mitigated.

You will have excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear policies, procedures reports and presentations.

Salary and benefits

£42,365 rising to £48,424 per annum which is Grade 7 of the College's London Pay Scale. The salary quoted is on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London.

Contract
