Are you a self-starter with excellent organisational skills looking to take the next step in your Higher Education career? Birkbeck, University of London, is looking for a Programme Manager to join us this Spring on a permanent, full-time, hybrid contract.
As Programme Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of administrative staff and the delivery of an effective administrative support service within the Faculty of Business and Law at Birkbeck.
As Programme Manager your duties will include:
- the day-to-day management of administrative staff, student services and administration
- central and faculty professional services liaison including; process and procedure developments, marketing and publicity, web, student support, learning resources, disability liaison, visa compliance and student complaints
- project work and the implementation of strategic developments
- distance learning support and administration.
To be successful as Programme Manager, you will have:
- experience of, and proven commitment to, customer service and quality improvement
- excellent communication, and IT skills and the ability to define priorities for yourself and your team
- able to work flexibly and to problem solve to effectively manage a range of projects
- able to work on your own initiative to deliver a high standard of service
- able to work collaboratively across teams and cultivate excellent working relationships with colleagues, both administrative and academic.
As Programme Manager, at Birkbeck, University of London, a sound understanding and experience of the current issues and trends within the HE sector may also be an advantage for working in this role.

Salary and benefits:
£38,443 rising to £43,636 per annum. Grade 6 on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated London Weighting Allowance.

Contract:
