Postdoctoral position in the Zanetti lab at Birkbeck College London to work on the in situ structure of membrane trafficking complexes.

You will be working on developing in situ structural biology in the lab, focussed at studying ER to Golgi transport. You will join the vibrant Birkbeck cryo-EM community and employ the latest advances in cryo-tomography and subtomogram averaging to get high-resolution insights on a native system.

To be successful, you will have PhD-level experience in molecular and cell biology, tissue culture and fluorescence microscopy. You will have a proven track record of your research including peer-reviewed publications, and you will be passionate about cell biology and fundamental molecular mechanisms. Experience in cryo-EM is a plus.

Remuneration 

Grade 7 of the College's London Pay Scale which is £38,594 rising to £44,113 per annum.

The salary quoted is on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the Greater London area.
