We are seeking an exceptional candidate to join Birkbeck Business School on a part time, fixed-term contract, with specific duties supporting the OPRHM programme of distance learning courses.
Are you passionate about teaching and supporting students worldwide? Birkbeck, University of London, is seeking an International OPHRM Programme Tutor to join our dynamic team at Birkbeck Business School. This role involves delivering high-quality online teaching for Postgraduate Diploma and MSc programmes in Human Resource Management and Occupational Psychology through virtual learning environments.
You will play a key role in acting as a module convenor, delivering lectures online, computer conferencing, personal tutoring, project supervision and assessment. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a global learning community as part of the University of London International Programme. This role is offered on a fixed-term, part time (17.5 hours a week) contract at £22,124 per year.
As International OPHRM Programme Tutor you will:
- Deliver online teaching and learning support within a predefined programme of study.
- Supervise student work, including weekly forum discussions and dissertations.
- Develop and update teaching materials for online delivery.
- Assess student work and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and scholarly activities.
- Provide pastoral support and act as a mentor for students.
To succeed as International OPHRM Programme Tutor, you will have:
- A strong breadth of knowledge/background in Human Resource Management and/or Organizational Psychology
- Competence in virtual online learning technologies and computer-based learning systems.
- A commitment to diversity and an understanding of the needs of part-time and adult learners.

Salary and benefits
Actual £22,124 per year (Pro-rated £44,247 rising to £50,379 per annum FTE), Grade 7 on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated London Weighting Allowance.
