As Food and Beverage Assistant you'll provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors in the bar, cafes, and restaurant. At £15,692 rising to £16,096 per year, this is a permanent, part-time role at 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday with shift patterns from 7.30am to 11.30pm.
The duties for this role include:
- Providing efficient and friendly service to all customers at the University Student bar, cafes and restaurant
- Preparing and serving food and beverages to high standards
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of service areas
- Assisting with event space setup and stock rotation, stock taking and rotas
- Adhering to health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
The successful candidate needs a flexible approach to working as a Barista, Bartender and Catering Assistant within our varied team. We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in a bar, café or restaurant setting
- Understands health and safety protocols
- Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Is flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends.

Salary and benefits:
£15,692 rising to £16,096 per year - actual, 0.57 FTE (Pro-rated £27,461 to £28,169 FTE). Salary is Grade 2 on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance that applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.

Contract:
Permanent, part-time contract (20 hours a week, 0.57 FTE) with shift patterns from Monday to Friday 7.30am to 11.30pm. Our cafes open from 7.30am-9.30pm, and the bar opens 4pm-11.30pm, and the role will work across our cafes, restaurant, bar and hospitality business. Please submit a CV for consideration.
