As Associate Lecturer, you will contribute to teaching on the final year of our BSc Bioscience and Health and BSc Biomedicine programme, preparing and delivering an epidemiology module to students who have chosen this module.
You will have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching within the biological and health sciences and to providing support to students that fosters academic growth.
The appointment is to cover a 15-credit, Level 6 module, Epidemiology (EPI). EPI is taught in the Autumn term (Oct-Dec) and you will deliver the classes 6 - 9 pm on Thursdays.
The work would require 27 contact hours of teaching as well as preparation of teaching materials, organization, communication with students, student support, and assessment marking.
You will have knowledge and experience of Epidemiology and be qualified to the corresponding level of the award as required to teach (or demonstrate equivalent professional/industry level experience).

Remuneration:
Payment is based on an hourly rate depending on length of continuous service with the College, starting rate £69.68 per hour inclusive of pro-rata London Allowance and holiday pay, for contact hours worked.
This hourly rate is based on the starting point of Grade 7 and is inclusive of a ‘Duties Related to Teaching Multiplier’ at 2.5, which covers preparation, teaching, administration, assessment marking and other examining duties in connection with the course.
