Part of Birkbeck’s Registry, the Admission team is responsible for providing an effective central admissions service to applicants from across the globe, from enquiry to enrolment. 

Working closely with the academic departments, you will be responsible for assessing applications in a timely and professional manner, inputting admissions decisions into the student database, and issuing offers to applicants. You will play a key role in the University's recruitment objectives, as well as participate in Open Days and events.

We are looking for an individual who can work effectively as part of a team, and manage their own time effectively whilst also be willing to work flexibly across a number of activities at once, in order to meet deadlines.

You will be required to work accurately and efficiently, with attention to detail and a high regard for personal and sensitive data to support compliance with external legal requirements, and to provide a consistent and excellent level of customer service.

Alongside administration, customer service is also a key focus of this role, therefore you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

You’ll have strong IT skills and be familiar with using (MS Office Excel, Word etc). Experience of maintaining a student database is also essential.

Located in Bloomsbury, central London, the post will work in line with Birkbeck's flexible working arrangements and consist of a mixture of home working as well as being in the office.

Salary and benefits

£31,234 rising to £34,827 per annum, Grade 4 on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated London Weighting Allowance.

Contract
